These are little prototypes of future moldings of light-shades. I am genuinely excited about this project..I'm gonna try to wet your appetite...

Keffiyeh

So you think, you're original with your little keffiyeh. That scarf that you think that is so fashionable now, is really showing your political tendencies, your stand against the war in Irak. Actually this scarf was traditionally worn by Palestinian peasants, but more importantly travelers who happened to go to Middle East and holy land in search of spiritual enlightenment. Going trough some books about Italian painter Titan I have noticed a little keffiyeh on the back of a man who was lowering man called Jesus from a middle eastern torture device (cross) . I believe he was a saint...The fascinating thing is that the painting is from 16th century Italy, which shows that many men were talking long journeys to middle east and finding many religions, not just Christianity. Proudly displaying their knowledge about Islam and Orthodox Christianity they still loved their religion. Many people from the Balkans also went to Jerusalem and Holy Land and upon receiving their religious elevation they would also get different last names as titles to their visionary and illuminated lives. For example my dear friend's ancestors Hadzinski, who are from Macedonia and still to this day remained Orthodox Christians. That is the kind of religious mixing I like...so please don't think that your little scarf is something new...because fashion also repeats its self very much like world history.

Work at HIPS

I still have to do few touch ups to these murals.

I feel like most of this work is never done, but you have to tell yourself that is "done enough".With apropriate funds I will get more tools to continue this kind of work. Some airbrushes and acrylic pressure sprays will do better effects and impressions that will be more accurate and impressive.

These are some of my works that are still in progress. I have lots of women friends that can possibly model for me, because I think working from proper models and reality would add more magic that I'm trying to portray.

So if anyone wants to pose for me please let me know, the hair doesn't have to be long or big. The lack of hair can of-course be photoshop-ed.

I found this old drawing, i think its appropriate for many wives I plan to have.

Its just an old watercolor, but i find it fun..and oddly connected with my other Muslim work.

Hair and more hair

I have a serious amount of hair sketches. I think its time for me to do some actual work...

I just saw some of the first ones that I did...and decided to share.

Back to hair

A quick visit to the National gallery and at the ground floor  of the East building shows many  renaissance objects like stone busts and religious art. Most of this art was influenced by antique subjects and images..that had its revival after the Dark ages of Europe. But what I was drawn to is oddly shaped hair like this man's head called Marquess of Ferrara

The form given to the medal by Pisanello in 1439 is still in use today. Looking at Pisanello’s medal for Leonello d'Este (above, from 1441), we see the powerful man’s profile back to back with a scene showing a lion being taught by Cupid to sing.

Few steps from this serious collection is one of the stone carvings that just propels me in the direction of hair and hair influenced subjects..and you can see why...

Before the show

I really get nuts about showing my work.
but I remember when this idea of gypsies occured to me.
I think it was these drawings are the motivation behind my Nomad series.

My constant traveling and sense that constant ownership of land makes nomads extinct, is what made me do these images.

My fascination with hair starts at an early age..I think this might be the reason...

My mother and her ridiculously long hair...

Just to show you that critics don't know how to understand artists, they ignore the need for Damien Hirst to claim his right to call him self a painter.

Paintings At The Wallace Collection are a logical step that Hirst needed to show his true interests and genuine fascination with death. His love of Francis Bacon and possibly George Braque is completely natural, his painting skills are not that important mostly because these works are not the ones that will be his signature pieces that will be held up as world changing breakthrough artworks. His taxidermy and medicine related installations are what will be his legacy.

Nonetheless I still admire his bravery and fact that he decided to paint. Oddly enough I'm also interested in same artists and styles.

That is why I will share some of my own images that show similarities of my own work with the work of these geniuses

Other artists

 Herlinde Koelbl is an artist who shows photos of stuff that grows from our heads. She really shows all the variations and other aesthetic issues that come with hair, but i suppose it would take another book to describe all other possibilities of hair.

anyway I like her work about this age old problem or blessing.

I have an idea that will help me make the circle idea better.

I will make all the drawings about circle interactive, when you rollover the drawing you will see all the circles in the drawing.

making it easier for the viewer to recognize the significance of circles.

I decided to apply for some schools. Primarely American Academy in Rome.

This is just a small sample of my application, which consists of many detailed drawings that explain importance of the idea of circles and symmetry .

This idea is not new, but I'm going to elaborate and show why Rome out of all places is full of visual symbolism of the importance of circles.

Still thinking of hair.

I did this sketch while flying towards America.

Its a combination of art from Prague..and my new obsession with hair.

Hopefully I will try to do some actual sculptures or wall pieces.
